Jeffrey Robertson

Jeffrey Robertson received a Tattersall's latest Enterprise and Achievement Award, following his educational advocacy work for people living with HIV. Jeffrey has overcome some extraordinary disabilities and prejudices as a direct result of living with HIV. Not only has he shown great courage in facing his illness, he now works tirelessly to assist people who find themselves in similar circumstances. Jeffrey has played a significant role in de-stigmatizing the condition he suffers through his continuous work with "Straight Arrows" and other related disability organizations and educational institutions.

Milly Parker

Milly Parker

Milly Parker received a Tattersall's Enterprise and Achievement Award for her advocacy work on behalf of young people living in nursing homes. Milly has strived to raise awareness of the lack of suitable accommodation for young people with acquired brain injuries since her own life was turned upside down several years ago when she sustained severe brain injuries in a car accident.

Teresa Chu

Teresa Chu

Teresa Chu has spent most of her life overcoming her physical disabilities. Now the RMIT University graduate, who is hearing-impaired, is helping others to do the same. Teresa has received the Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement for her passion and determination to achieve much in her life despite physical challenges and language barriers. Teresa received a personal cheque of $5,000 and a cheque for $15,000 for RMIT's Disability Liaison Unit.

Scott Wellard

Scott Wellard

Berwick youth worker Scott Wellard received a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement, following his work with "Operation Newstart". Operation Newstart, a partnership between Victoria Police and the Department of Education and Training, is designed to assist students who are experiencing difficulties at school. The program engages youth in high challenge, outdoor activities to build their confidence and help them realise their full potential.

Nicci Wall

Nicci Wall

Mental health advocate Nicci Wall has been recognised with a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement for establishing the Melton Depression and Bipolar Support Group in Melbourne's outer western suburbs. Because of her ongoing, voluntary work, Nicci will receive a trophy, a $5,000 personal prize, and $15,000 for SANE Australia, which will go towards funding support programs for the mentally ill. SANE Australia is a non-profit organisation, which helps people affected by mental illness, their family and friends.

Russell Ardley

Russell Ardley

Russell Ardley has been recognised with a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement for his volunteer work with unemployed and marginalised youth in the Mornington Peninsula area. From humble beginnings in his own backyard, Russell established the Mornington Peninsula Youth Enterprise (MPYE) program in 1998, providing training and work skills programs for unemployed and marginalised youth in the community.

Des Murphy

Bendigo resident and environmentalist Des Murphy has been recognised with a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement for his care of the natural environment. Des has worked countless hours over 10 years to improve the conditions of Bendigo’s creeks and waterways, by removing rubbish and planting thousands of native trees and plants. On many occasions, Des has funded and worked on projects alone to fulfil his goal of making the local creeks a safe and pleasant place for the community to enjoy.

Tim Conolan

Tim Conolan

Tim Conolan, founder and CEO of charity TLC for Kids, has been recognised with a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement for his work with seriously ill children. TLC for Kids, based in North Melbourne, helps hundreds of children each year as they battle serious illnesses. Tim founded the not for profit organisation after visiting the Royal Children’s Hospital in 1998 and learning of a gap to fill in the not for profit sector; meeting the needs of ill children, regardless of the type of disease they have or their age.
